I've not blogged for quite a while now, and after making a few false starts I'm sitting here planning my comeback. Mind you I have a long way to recover, I'm totally unfit now, and I've piled on a "ton" of weight which is going to take time to shift again. I'm afraid thats typical of me, I'm either all in or all out.
My decision to commit this to paper might help me get back in groove though. At least thats what I'm hoping. I know what to do, I know how to do it, but I need to get committed to the cause and make it happen.
Come on lardy arse, get out the door and do something............

You said it lardy arse! If I can keep going with my dodgy knee so can you with a little extra "padding". Once you get into your routine again it will become easier.
Can't wait to start reading your regular blog updates again!
Hey Dex,
Haven't checked in for a while, and was surprised to see a "comeback" post on your blog. I'm pleased and excited for you.
As you say, you know what to do and how to do it - getting out of the door will be the test.
Good luck on the comeback trail and I look forward to reading all about it.
All the best!

Dex,
Hope you're doing ok. I know you're still around and about as your last.fm keeps updating, but I guess by your lack of posts, you're not running at the moment.
In case you're interested, I've just tagged you over at Run Bulldog Run:

Have fun if you decide to play along. All the best!

Hi Steve,
Yep, still around, but still not managed to sort myself out, been about 6 months now. I’ve even got a place in this year’s London Marathon, but not a chance of me getting around that this year I’m afraid. I keep thinking about what I need to do to get going again. Just need to buy a bigger size pair of shorts I think ;-)
I really do need to get off my lazy butt and sort something out. At this stage I feel so unfit I’m not sure I could manage much and think it’ll be back to scratch for me. I'm all talk and no action at the moment.
Anyway, trust you’re well and the training going well for you.
Dex.
Hi,
I'm working with Takkle.com, a social networking site for sports. Members can post photos, videos, share stats and schedules, and a whole lot more with others throughout the community. Takkle is a place where students, athletes, coaches, and fans can share their passion for sports.
I feel that your site is very useful. I would love to know if you could link to our social networking resource.
Thanks,
