Recovery Run - 5 Miles

It was very windy this evening, but I needed to make sure that I stayed under my recovery HR of 140bpm for the run. The wind and rain meant that this translated into a run at a pace of 9.01 min/mile. This was the slowest run I've done in a long time. But since I have my long run tomorrow I didn't want to overdo it and was determined to stay at my recovery HR.

Tomorrow is my long run, 17 miles, but due to another comittment that I need to attend at 10am I have to get on the road for 5am if I'm to get my run in. Not ideal preparation for a long run, I normally prefer to have had breakfast, and had a few hours awake before I hit the road. Lets see how early/late I get to bed, it could all be a disaster.
